THE St Arvan's Pantoman-iacs will take to the stage this Friday and Saturday to perform Jack and the Beanstalk, at St Arvans Memorial Hall.
Now in their 18th year, the Pantomaniacs claim to be as enthusiastic as ever. And organisers expect their good reputation for delivering a high standard performance to result in a full house.
A spokesman for the pantomaniacs said: "The village hall has been a hive of activity, with props and scenery being sawn, hammered and painted, costumes being sewn and actors rehearsing, all at the same time and all with the same aim, to put on a great show."
The play tells the story of Dame Acne and her enormous garden problem, in the shape of Letitia the wicked witch. The situation is not helped by a king who has 'Giant' phobia; he would rather let the village starve than stand up for his people.
Tickets costing £4 and £3 are available at Parkfield stores, St Arvans. Show times are 7.30pm on Friday and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
