Gill Cup
IN the Gill Cup Quarter Finals, Division Two minnows Undy Athletic B took the scalp of another Division One team as they progressed to the semi-finals by humbling Monmouth Town 3-2.
A Richard Smith penalty and a brace from Lee Harris helped them on their way. Tintern Abbey were too strong for brave Caldicot Town and went through 4-2.
Portskewett eased past Tippling Philosopher 3-0 and finally Thornwell Burnt Barn made it two Division Two sides in the semi-final draw, beating Monmouth Town B with ease, 6-0.
Benevolent Cup
In the Benevolent Cup, Underwood A progressed to the semi finals after beating Undy Athletic A 5-0.
Argus Shield
Chepstow Athletic made it through to the semi-finals of the Argus Shield after beating Underwood B 3-1. Kyle Gettings scored Underwood's consolation goal - see report below.
Division One
Sudbrook Cricket Club A beat Cross Hop 5-1. Cross Hop's only goal came from Mat Griffiths, while Mark Cochrane and Rory Aldritt netted two each for Sudbrook, with the side's other goal coming from Robert Thorn.
Division Two
Bulwark beat Portskewett B 4-1, new boy Jamie Hutch scoring two, Ian Smazlik and Alastair McDonald the others, in a comfortable win for the Chepstow side.
Sudbrook Cricket Club B won 6-3 at home to Mathern Wanderers, with goal legend Carl Arthur and Daryl Cann getting two each, Ken Murdin and Ian Phillips strikes apiece.
