Business is booming for Complete Bathrooms in Victoria Street, Old Cwmbran. It's the expertise of father-and-son combination Peter and Justin Silver that people are after.

Peter Silver, who started the company 30 years ago, measures up the jobs up then hands over to manager Justin, who sorts out the skilled staff to do it.

This highly-motivated duo are planning and fitting, with their equally-experienced staff, between five and eight suites a week. On top of that there is contract work; indeed, the order books are pretty well full.

But as Justin explained: "For the peace of mind of our customers, we have on our staff the fitters, tilers, plasterers and plumbers for any complete package. We do not use anyone else outside. Some of our skilled workers have been with us for 20 years, so they know what they are about."

The elongated building houses more than 20 luxury displays. Justin designed the layout so that every nook and cranny has the very essence of the business on view.

As to cost, the most expensive and luxurious home bathroom suite, complete with fitted furniture, can set you back up to £16,000, but probably the most expensive job ever completed by the company was at a Merthyr hotel and that cost more than £30,000!

But if you really want to know about the company's quality work, ask Welsh soccer star Nathan Blake or Gwent boxing champion Joe Calzaghe. As thanks for a job well done Nathan sent Justin his number 17 red Welsh shirt, while boxer Joe put his thanks in writing.
