WHEN it comes to a new kitchen - after all it's the engine room of any home - only the best is good enough.
If you want that, Complete Kitchens, at Cwmbran, is your best bet.
Bob Urie started the company 25 years ago and from the beginning made certain that not only would quality, workmanship and style be the order of the day, but there would be also be only one person to contact if things went wrong.
"What we mean is that we won't let you down," said Bob, who, with two of his four sons, runs this family business.
With 28 kitchen displays, the showroom at Oldbury Hall, Old Cwmbran, is probably the largest in Gwent at the moment.
Winning the lottery and buying a new home is the dream of many, but Bob would have no difficulty in supplying a luxury kitchen package costing as much as £26,000!
As it is, a French solid oak kitchen can cost as much as £19,000 but, of course, that would include building work such as walls being taken down and ceilings made higher or lowered.
But let's get back to earth. The average kitchen is not going to cost that much but, as Bob has found out over the years, people have their own dreams, and the staff at Complete Kitchens offer advice but follow those dreams as much as possible. "People are looking for a French or British kitchen with solid wood and granite, and we do a lot of these," said Bob.
"We tend to please 99 percent of our customers, so that's not a bad record," he added.
Regular visitors to Complete Kitchens have been a number of Welsh rugby stars as well as hotelier George Savaas.
When Bob started his company, he was into bathroom suites, and now he has come full circle.
"We are going back to Beautiful Bathrooms," he said.
