THE seven cygnets missing from the country park at Caldicot castle since Wednesday May 5, have still not been found.
And Dennis Manning, Chief warden at Caldicot country park, says he is certain the swans currently in the area are definitely the parents of the missing cygnets.
He said: "The two swans look like the parents, they are very tame and are feeding out of people's hands - and behave in the exact same way as the parents. I'm sure it is them."
The young swans were one week old when they disappeared at the beginning of May, and despite extensive searches and investigations they have not been found.
"The cygnets are still missing, we don't know what has happened to them," said Mr Manning.
Anyone with information should call the Caldicot Country Park on 01291 425641.
