Skaters descend on new park

MORE than 200 skaters descended on the new skate park at Chepstow last week to show off their best tricks and stunts.

The Snickers Game On Best Trick event took place on Thursday and gave local youngsters the chance to use the brand new Piggy's Hill Skate Park in Bulwark to the full.

During the event around 40 skaters and BMX rider impressed judges by doing their best trick with the chance to win a number of prizes, including cash, skateboards and t-shirts.

The event proved to be a huge success and hundreds of skaters came to the skatepark to watch and take part.

Both skaters and BMX riders attempted some crowd pleasing and dynamic stunts and riders were given countless attempts to try the biggest and hardest trick within a given time limit.

Organisers say the event gave riders the chance to push themselves outside the normal limitations of the competition structure.
