Garn enjoy cup success

GARNDIFFAITH moved into the second round of the Konica Minolta Welsh Cup with a confident 24-8 win over Ynysddu.

The convincing win follows a good start to the Division Five East campaign in which Garndiffaith have won two of their opening three matches.

Promising perfomrances came from Matthew Billings, Chris Baldwin, Mark Atkinson and Simon Palfrey who all looked to keep pushing the ball forward throughout the match.

There were also cup wins for Cwmbran, who beat Trinant 29-24 with new man James Didcote hitting two conversions, and Talywain who edged past Pembroke 13-8.
