No easy games in league

THIS game for Race provided evidence that there is no easy game in the Gwent County Division Two this season.

Despite the form guide and the position in the league of Pentwynmawr Athletic, they came to the College Ground with a game plan and stuck to it and were rewarded with a 1-1 draw.

Despite good play and the chances Race were again down 1-0 at the break.

Heads could of dropped at this point but Race found that extra gear and it was from the dependable foot of Mark Drinkwater, that saw powerhouse striker David Jenkins rise like a salmon to head home the equaliser.

At the end Pentwynmawr seemed extremely happy with the draw.

Race Second XI recorded another win, away to Sebastopol B. Goals on the day came from captain Paul Hayward (2), Craig Rosser, and a blinding strike from Stuart Watts.
