Asda on agenda

ABERGAVENNY traders are to hold an emergency meeting to discuss plans by Asda to re-develop the cattle market site.

Members of the Abergavenny Chamber of Trade and Commerce are due to meet tonight (Wed).

Last month Free Press exclusively revealed that the supermarket giant Asda is coming to Abergavenny and that Monmouthshire County Council has chosen Henry Boot Developments Ltd for the £10 million scheme to build an 18,000 sq.ft food store, plus a separate store for the George clothing range sold by Asda; flats and other buildings on the site in the town centre.
