TRIBUTES ARE still pouring in for a Cwmbran father of two who died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday paid tribute to a "fun-loving guy".
Biker Clive Evans died at the scene of the crash, which happened on The Highway, Croesyceiliog, at 9.10pm.
Police say Mr Evans' motorbike collided with a parked car, and that no other vehicles were involved.
Throughout Sunday, family and friends laid floral tributes for 46-year-old Mr Evans, and a Welsh flag was hung in the hedgerow above the accident spot.
His distraught son and daughter, Aaron and Leah Andresen, travelled to the scene of the crash with their mother - Mr Evans' ex-partner - and stepfather Dave Andresen after they had been informed of his death by family friends.
"I loved him, and will always miss him," said Aaron Andresen, who celebrated his engagement and 21st birthday recently.
Mr Andresen Snr, from St Athan, said he grew up with Mr Evans and remembered him as "a fun-loving guy", who "loved his bikes".
The family said they were in deep shock, and daughter Leah Andresen, who lives in Pentwyn, said she was anxious to locate Mr Evans' family in Cwmbran.
Deborah Swain, 40, was Mr Evans' partner of two years and they had remained good friends.
She said: "He loved motorbikes. But he was really into photography and painting as well."
On Sunday police issued an appeal for witnesses to the accident, which shocked nearby residents.
Some spoke of hearing a "thud", and one woman, who asked not to be named, said: "It was all very disturbing - there were four or five police cars surrounding the scene, and the road was blocked. You could tell something bad had happened."
Another resident said the area was "an accident blackspot".
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call 01633 838111.
