Inn back on form

Gwent County Third Division New Inn 5 Ebbw Vale T 2

New Inn got back to winning ways after this encouraging performance at home to Ebbw Vale Town.

New Inn broke the deadlock just before half-time. Anthony Davies flicked on a cross from Russell Boyle for Jackson to half-volley into the top corner. New Inn led 1-0 at half-time.

Good build up play after the interval from the midfield saw Nathan Blackwell slot a through ball to Peter Page who finished in style.

New Inn went 3-0 up when Davies got on the scoresheet with a deadly finish. A lapse in concentration let the visitors back into the game when they got a goal back.

New Inn managed to score a fourth, good link-up play from the front two resulted in a Davies cross that gave Jackson the opportunity to grab his second of the game.

A defensive mix-up gave Ebbw Vale a glimmer of a hope, before Davies sealed the game for New Inn with his second. Richie Dudman had a good game on his first team debut, along with Mark Jackson and John Watkins.

Barry Davies scored for New Inn 2nds who disappointingly lost to Sebastopol B 3-1.
