Talywain shade it

Welsh Cup Round Two Garndiffaith 19 Talywain 21

THE bonus with a derby game like this is that it means at least one local side goes through to the next round of the Welsh Cup, writes Noel Davies.

The downside? Well one doesn't and that side is Garndiffaith who came off second best against old foes Talywain on Saturday.

Talywain made hard work of the game in the end. Matt Bromely and Paul Robinson went over for tries and Scott Beasant added the rest of the points with the boot as Talywain ran the show for 60 minutes only for ill-discipline and mistakes to let the Garn in it.

In the end, they just managed to keep their heads in front, even if it was by a whisker.
