TURN ON, TUNE IN AND track down 107.5 on the dial for Cwmbran's new community radio station, which is ready to hit the airwaves after a £5,000 cash boost.
Following training sessions last week news of the lottery grant cemented hopes that the sounds of 107.5 CROWfm will debut on November 27.
The lottery backing came through Awards for All Wales, and will fund the licence, training costs and volunteer expenses for the station, which goes on air for 28 days.
Spokesman for 107.5 CROWfm Darren Powis said: "We're all excited to get this award. This is the final piece of the puzzle and means listeners in Cwmbran and South Torfaen can tune in from November 27 and hear something they won't get on other stations," he said.
The project was founded by voluntary not-for-profit organisation Media Group and backed by many local groups who have aided this community access radio trial.
Media groups founding partner Tormedia ran a similar trail in May this year and organisers are hoping CROWfm will shoot to success.
Mr Powis said: "We would like to express our thanks to Awards for Wales and we hope CROWfm will provide a distinctively Cwmbran voice with a lively mix of talk, music and local interest issues for local people."
