Team with little to crow about

CWMBRAN RFC came up short against a well organised Pill Harriers in Division Three East on Saturday.

The Crows, missing several key players, were well below par as they lost 33-14.

Pill scored three tries before half-time to go into the break 20-0 up.

A well-worked move by Crows half backs Fred Evans and James Didcote involving Maidment, Groves, Tuck and Martin Ellis resulted in an Ellis try which was converted by Didcote whose kicking was a big plus.

Pill exerted pressure in the line-outs and used quality ball to run in their fourth try. The Crows hit back with a try by replacement wing Gavin Cox which was converted but Pill had the final say when two penalties completed a deserved win.
