BLAENAVON residents are being called to help police tackle a spate of vandalism at the town's Lion Street car park.
For some time now young vandals have been targeting the car park and are kicking down new block work and other on-going building work on the new toilets.
Vandals have kicked down walls that are being built and have retaliated when confronted.
One resident who took them to task over their behaviour had debris thrown over his car.
Blaenavon Town Council's Robert Deacon said: "We have had problems there for some time now with anti-social behaviour and police have been up there looking around.
"The problem they face is catching the vandals as they are damaging property."
Police and the council advise residents to report any acts of vandalism they witness in a bid to help police tackle the yobbish behaviour.
