Gwent County Division Two - Wednesday, April 6

Race 1 v Cwmffrwdoer 2

This local derby got off to a flying start when from the 'Doer's kick-off David Jenkins put Race 1-0 up. From the restart Ricky Malson fed Kristian Howells, whose left foot cross found Ryan Waite in space to score with a neat header to put the scores level. In the 25 minute, once again from a Howells cross, Ryan Waite rose above the home defence to score with another headed goal for the 'Doer to take a 2-1 lead into the interval. In the second half the 'Doer had the majority of the play and but for keeper Terry Watkins would have scored more, but were satisfied with a 2-1 win.
