Cwmbran look to next season

Cwmbran rugby Under 13's have finished the season with a mixed bag of results. Narrowly losing to New Panteg 19-13 in the District Plate Cup and they should have finished last Sunday with a win over NHSOB, only to let it slip in the final five minutes going down 22-17.

Cwmbran's tries coming from Leighton Wagg, Rhys Moore and Matt Brennan with Jake Hayward converting one.

This has been a frustrating season for the young Crows, winning twelve games, losing thirteen, scoring 437 points for and 343 against. Top try scorer was Rhys Cantelo with fifteen and top kicker Jake Hayward with 25 conversions and one penalty.

Cwmbran U13's have now shut down for a month and will be back pre-season training for next season on June 1 with all the new rules to adapt to for next season, pushing in the scrum, lineout jumping, back row moves and a full kicking game.

Cwmbran will be looking to improve, they have the players to step up a gear and should be a much better team next season.

Cwmbran Under 13's coaching staff, players and parents would like to thank their sponsors 'Total Storage' and 'Mark One Plastics' for their help.
