FREE club membership and VIP rugby tickets!

PONTYPOOL'S new members-only club is due to open on June 16 and owner Iftekhar Haris has teamed up with the Free Press to offer a year's free membership worth £50 to every reader.

Elm House, on the town bridge, Pontypool, is being renovated to offer a new kind of venue for the town.

The three-storey building will include a bar, stage area for live events, and a restaurant.

Readers can fill in a membership form included in the Free Press this week and for the following three weeks, and send it back to Elm House.

People who send in a form will also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win two season tickets for Pontypool RFC tickets for the VIP opening party on June 16.

The opening date has been put back from June 2, as originally planned, to allow more time for recruiting staff.

"The building work is on schedule but we need a little more time to recruit and train up staff," said Mr Haris, pictured, who plans to take on around 35 full and part-time staff to work at the club.

The owners reserve the right to refuse membership.
