Car seen at site of farm robbery

Officers investigating a robbery that occurred at a farm between Abergavenny and the Chain Bridge are appealing for information about a car they now have in their possession.

Detective Inspector Paul Griffiths, said: "I am asking anyone who saw a Vauxhall Carlton, silver/blue in colour, registration number J123 VUH, with a distinctive spoiler on the back, in April in the Pontypool, Abergavenny or Usk areas to contact us.

"It's vital that anyone who saw this car specifically during the month of April contacts my officers at Abergavenny CID on 01633 838111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.'

The robbery occurred at approximately 11.20pm on Saturday, April 23.

Three men, with their identities concealed, entered the property and stole a quantity of cash, a jacket and overalls. They carried weapons that resembled truncheons.

The two elderly men who occupy the property were not hurt.
