Magazine goes Nuts over finalist Hayley

IS TORFAEN the glamour capital of Wales?

Last week we featured former Miss Wales Sophia Cahill, who began her career as Pontypool's carnival queen. And two Torfaen girls, Emma Corten and Lidija Vrcic, are competing in the current Miss Wales finals.

This week we feature another sexy girl from the Eastern Valley.

Hayley Jones is a finalist in the Nuts magazine competition to find the sexiest 'garden babes'.

She was a cover girl on the magazine's June 5 edition.

Hayley, 22, was asked by keen-eyed Nuts staff to enter their competition after they saw pictures she'd submitted.

She's now waiting to see if she's won through to the final of the competition.

The former West Mon pupil is aiming for a high-flying career in the world of glamour.

Hayley has already worked on modelling shoots for Marks and Spencer, the Millennium Stadium and the Daily Sport.

"I've been sending my pictures in to lots of magazines," she said.

"Nuts called me back and asked if I would send in a bikini shot for their competition so I'm waiting on that."

Hayley has already featured in our sister paper, the South Wales Argus, speaking out about the bullies who ruined her school years. .

"I was bullied in school so I left without even doing my GCSEs, which I very much regret now. I just got marked out as different.

"I couldn't deal with it at the time, but I can now. I've come to realise that some people just don't want you to even try to get on in life. They want you to be just like them.

"Now, I don't take any notice if people say something bad to me."

She also receives support from her parents. In turn, she's supported her dad in his fight against leukaemia which is now in remission.

Hayley's next move is a trip to London to show her portfolio to the major picture agencies.

"I know I couldn't be a catwalk model because I'm just not tall enough," said Hayley, who is five feet four inches tall.

"You have to be six feet tall to do that. So I'm just going to give the glamour my best shot."
