Nail-biting finish for County side

The result of this nine-goal thriller on December 17 was in doubt until the final whistle.

Panteg opened the scoring through Lee Gwilliam after ten minutes. The 'Doer pulled level in the 30th minute through Matthew Jackson. Within five minutes the 'Doer were rocked by two goals from Joel Griffin to take Panteg into half time 3-1 up.

Ten minutes into the second half, Cwmffrwdoer pulled it back to 3-2 through Ryan Waite and five minutes later were level when Kristian Howells scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-3.

The 'Doer were now in the driving seat, controlling the game when up popped Lee Gwilliam on the counter attack to get his second goal and put Panteg 4-3 up. In the 80th minute, Kristian Howells chipped the keeper to make it 4-4, then in the final minute 17-year-old Jamie Roch raced past the defence to give the 'Doer a 5-4 victory and three points.

The Central side were home to joint league leaders Goytre. The first half was evenly contested, ending 0-0. However, the second produced four goals, all scored by the 'Doer, with Ross Peake bagging a brace and one apiece for Ross Mote and Kyle Palfrey - a convincing win and the double against Goytre.
