New Inn's New Year bad start

Gwent County Division 3

Sudbrook Cricket Club 4New Inn 0

SUDBROOK gained revenge on New Inn after two defeatsearlier in the season.

A victory for New Inn would have closed the gap to just three points, but it was one of those days where everything went wrong.

Surprisingly, Sudbrook improved after they were reduced to 10 men after just 15 minutes, taking the lead shortly afterwards. A free kick pumped into the box wasn't dealt with, resulting in an easy opening goal.

The second half began with New Inn looking more dangerous, unlucky not to get an equaliser with Jeff Tozer and Mike Davidge both going close.

However, poor defending was New Inn's downfall, three more errors led to three more goals for Sudbrook, the home strikers ripping New Inn apart. ew Inn must raise their game for the local derby against Sebastopol next week.
