Blaenavon Blues Girls continued their good run of form with a convincing win over Penarth side Cogan Coronation.
Once again the Blues were quick off the mark when their prolific goal scorer Lyndsey Davies struck within one minute. It took the Blues another 20 to get their second through Sian Pritchard.
This was followed shortly after by the best goal of the game where most of the team touched the ball and the move was finished off by striker Lyndsey Davies. Her hat-trick followed on the stroke of half time to make the score Blues 4 Cogan 0.
The second half was a slightly different affair with the Blues taking their foot off the gas and allowing Cogan some posession. However they failed to breach the Blues solid defence of Bethan Pritchard, Jessica Thomas, Emily Reed and Ria Parks. With ten minutes gone in the second half midfielderThomas scored a well taken goal to put the Blues five up. Then a minute later the last goal of the game was scored by the Blues to make the final score Blues 6 Cogan 0.
Next week the Blues entertain Caerphilly. A win for the Blues will move them up to fifth place in the league.
