The pitches thawed on Saturday morning and all bar one scheduled match was played.

After Saturdays results Division One leaders Tranch Utd stay at the top following their 3-0 home win over Usk Town. All of Tranch Utd's goals came in the first half through Andrew Hayes (2) and Shaun Williams. MOM Tranch Utd: Goalkeeper Gareth Donovan. MOM Usk Town: George Ashworth.

Tranch Utd have four games in hand over second placed Clydach Wasps who won 2-1 away to Cwmffrwdoer. Cwmffrwdoer held a 1-0 half time lead with a goal from Jamie Roch from a shot in the 40th minute. Clydach Wasps drew level in the 65th minute of the second half with a headed goal by Lee Williams. Jordon Jones got the Clydach Wasps winner in the 75th minute with a clever shot wide of the keeper. Third placed Goytre were held to a 1-1 draw away to Mardy. Kevin Melville scored in the 38th minute of the first half to give Mardy a 1-0 half time lead. Adam Roberts scored in the second half to give Goytre a share of the points. MOM Mardy: Ross Povey. MOM Goytre: Andrew Morris.

Fourth placed Blaenavon Blues returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home win over Pontypool Town. All the goals were scored in the second half, through Karl Hooper, Lee Freeman and Leon Catley. Butch Morgan's Govilon kept up their winning ways with a match double over Lower New Inn in a week. Lower went down 5-0 away at Bailey Park. Govilon established a 2-0 half time lead. Goal scorers for Govilon were Dean Morgan (2), Stuart Norman (2) and Jamie Wilkins. MOM Govilon: Dean Morgan. MOM Lower New Inn: Philip Bullock.

Gilwern & District kept up their winning ways with a 2-1 away win at Llanarth. All the goals were scored in the first half, Toby Preece scored for Llanarth and Chris Davies and Graham Rees were the Gilwern marksmen. MOM Llanarth: Colin Morgan. MOM Gilwern & District: Graham Rees.

Match of the Day in Division Two was number one team Prescoed who's record shows Played 17; Won 15; Drew 2; 47 points. Against Pandy Played 18; Won 14; Drew 4; 46 points. So the result of this match was eagerly awaited. Prescoed established a 4-2 half time lead and went on to claim maximum points by winning 6-3. This result gives Prescoed a four point lead at the top with a game in hand over Pandy and two games in hand over third placed side Crickhowell. Prescoed's goals came from Anthony Jones (3), Jay Roberts (2) and Ian Williams. MOM Pandy: Neil Gunter. MOM Prescoed: Anthony Jones.

Third placed side Crickhowell were away to fourth placed New Inn. The sides were level 2-2 at half time, and New Inn went on to win the match 4-3 and claim maximum points. Goal scorers for New Inn were Nicky Tudball (2), Mark King and Lee Foxhall who scored the match winning goal with a shot from outside the box five minutes from time. The Crickhowell goal scorers were Craig Bennett (2) and Simon Wall. MOM New Inn: Lee Foxhall. MOM Crickhowell: Ryan Price.

Fifth placed PILCS drew 2-2 at home to sixth placed Pontypool Town B. Goal scorers for PILCS were Matthew Martin and Daniel Bevan. Goal scorers for Pontypool Town B were Phillip Poulton and Phil Rogers. MOM PILCS: Michael Morrison. MOM Pontypool Town B: Kevin Rogers. New referee Mr Phil Croker had an excellent match.

An exciting game is reported from Fairfield Utd's 4-3 home win over Llanarth B. Goal scorers for Fairfield Utd were Gavin Williams, Gavin Cook, Michael Harper and John Jenkins. Goal scorers for Llanarth B wee Dave Griffiths (2) and Mark Hopkins. MOM Fairfield Utd: Daley Whitcombe. MOM Llanarth B: Dave Griffiths.

Newcomers Llanfoist visited the Island and came home with a share of the points with Usk Town B with a 1-1 draw. John Lloyd put Usk Town B 1-0 up with a goal scored in the 25th minute from a chipped shot from the edge of the box over the Llanfoist defence.

The Llanfoist equaliser was from a spectacular free kick by Gareth Williams in the 40th minute, directly from the touch-line. MOM Usk Town B: Goalkeeper Peter Marshall. MOM Llanfoist: Scott Baugh.

Sebastopol won 3-1 away at Gilwern B. Goals scorers for Sebastopol were Steve Sheppard, Alex Lewis and Ryan Kitson. The goal for Gilwern B was scored by Mark Wakeley. MOM Gilwern B: Steve Woods. MOM Sebastopol: Alex Lewis.
