Giving fine foods a welcome

Ty Croeso restaurant launches this month in the market town of Crickhowell at the edge of the Brecon Beacons.

The restaurant will offer diners locally sourced cuisine and will be a notable addition to Wales' growing collection of fine country restaurants.

Managed by Linda Jarrett and Pavel Vitek, Ty Croeso specialises in quality produce using local and organic ingredients to bring the best flavour to its dishes, with recipes like Glazed lamb shank cooked in red wine with shallots, carrots & baby turnips and Wild mushroom & onion tart with a polenta crust served with salad greens, specially created for Ty Croeso's seasonal menu.

With accreditations from the AA and Les Routiers, Ty Croeso guarantees all-round excellence and unfailing standards. "We wanted to create a restaurant that offers something extra special, where people can come and enjoy quality food, relax and take in the beautiful scenery. "We use as much local and organic produce as we possibly can and have recently been awarded the Green Dragon Award, which recognises our commitment to the environment. Being located at the edge of the Brecon Beacons, it is important we respect our surroundings and support the local community." "We've worked hard to ensure that Ty-Croeso achieves this and it's rewarding to offer diners the opportunity to enjoy what we have created," said Linda.

Set in a historically rich area, the restaurant is constructed from Welsh stone and dates back to the early 19th century, where it was once part of a Victorian workhouse.

Situated at the tip of the Brecon Beacons National Park and with picturesque views over the River Usk and the Black Mountains Ty Croeso is an idyllic location to enjoy fine dining.
