NEVER mind Charlotte and Gavin or David and Victoria Beckham, meet our very own Posh and Czeks, writes Andy Downie.

Cwmbran's Miss Wales entrant Kathryn Roberts has teamed up with Cardiff Blues and Wales' rugby star Chris Czekaj to form a brand new celebrity couple.

And Kat has had to swap allegiances from Cardiff City to the Blues after starting to see Chris, 20.

She said: "I used to go and watch City from the Grange End, but I've only been once since I met Chris.

"Now, I'm really into rugby, although I get really nervous when he's playing.

"I hate it when he gets injured and there's no way I'm looking at his bruises!"

Kickboxer Kat, also 20, is looking forward to doing battle with 29 other beauties at the Miss Wales 2006 final, which is being held at Cardiff's Coal Exchange on June 9.

She said: "I have done some catwalk modelling in school before, but nothing like this.

"I just decided it was something I was going to do and my family are very supportive.

"I'm young, so it's going to open doors for me and hopefully it will lead to some good opportunities.

"I would like to get into modelling, or maybe even television or radio presenting."

Unfortunately, Chris isn't sure he's going to be able to be present on June 9 to support Kat, as he's due to be representing Wales on tour in Argentina.

However, Kat knows she has his full backing. "It's great that Chris is really supportive of my decision to do this.
