Pupils lend a hand
MONMOUTH School has linked up with a social outreach project in Newport.
The city's Ringland Estate experiences some of the worst poverty in Europe and, each Wednesday afternoon, a team of pupils help out at The Raven House Community Centre.
And running alonside this initive is a fund-raising project to help sponsor a second van so that The Raven House Trust can help more people who literally find themselves with nothing.
Monmouth School, has a long tradition of fundraising and supporting those in need.
The school's Hereford House has managed to raise a magnificent £1,900 for the Raven House Trust.
This was achived by 35 boys taking part in various walks, runs and cycle events.
And since the start of the achademic year, the school has raised over £5,500 for the trust.
