School wishes City good luck
PUPILS at one Abergavenny primary school have gone blue this week - and it's not because of the weather.
Cup final fever has hit the children attending Our Lady and St Michael Roman Catholic Primary School, where head teacher John Healy is a lifelong Cardiff City supporter.
As he boarded a minibus taking 14 children to meet the team at their training ground in the Vale of Glamorgan, he said: "The children have made the team a Good Luck card and they will be presenting that to them as they are the first Welsh team to reach the FA cup final for over 80 years.
"I have been a supporter for 42 years and I am a season ticket holder so I will be at the final. But before that happens we will be holding our own version, with parents and Year 6 pupils forming Cardiff and Portsmouth teams.
"The final will be played on Friday afternoon at the Thursdays' stadium in Penypound and we have a special guest coming along to present the trophy to the winners.
"We've got various other celebratory events during the week and Friday will be a blue and white day for all the children."
