We're In the Pink!
HUNDREDS of people took part in yesterday's In the Pink canal walk in aid of breast cancer research.
Again organised by Liz Sullivan, the seventh annual walk was held in bright sunshine in contrast to last year's rain. This year's event also had its own theme tune - It Will Happen - a song written and performed by Sally-Ann Evans.
Sally-Ann sang live as balloons were released at the festival in Llangynidr following the walks. The message was based on a comment by an oncologist that there would one day be a cure for breast cancer.
More than 100 people left Goytre Wharf on one of the four routes, with all finishing in Llangynidr to enjoy the party where there was live music, food, and entertainment for the children.
