Hillside Lodge is situated in the lovely village of Redbrook, just 3 miles from Monmouth, on the very edge of England and Wales. The hillside setting affords wonderful views across the valley to the hills and along the river Wye.
The village of Redbrook has a primary school, village hall, village shop, public house and playing fields. Further excellent schooling and a wide range of shops and amenities are available in Monmouth.

Rail connections are available at Chepstow.
The property is approached directly from the lane which leads past the double carport which has light, power and water. There is a further single parking space at the bottom of the main steps up to the house. The outside spaces are mostly paved, creating a range of different seating areas around the property and there is a wide ramp to the side, enabling access to these spaces for wheelchair users. Across the rear courtyard is the 15' long utility room which offers ample space for white goods and excellent storage, some of which runs underneath the main floor of the utility itself. Steps lead up to a small area of lawn across the rear of the garden which offers delightful views over the rooftop to the valley beyond.

From Monmouth, follow signs towards Chepstow on the A466, heading south, for approximately 3 miles. As you enter the village of Redbrook, and pass the primary school, veer immediately left up a small lane, turn left at the top and left again into Hillside Road. Proceed to the top of the lane and Hillside Lodge is the penultimate property at the top of the lane on the right hand side.
The property has been recently constructed to an exacting standard and offers contemporary living in a wonderful setting. The accommodation is versatile, with bedrooms on the ground and first floors. The largest of the ground floor bedrooms has doors wide enough for a wheelchair, double doors out to the rear patio and has its own wet room. The adjacent bedroom/study could be used as a sitting room to afford a degree of independence to a relative. There is a third bedroom, a cloakroom and a bathroom with separate shower to the ground floor.
The main living areas are also on the ground floor. The sitting room is light and spacious, with pale bamboo flooring, large sliding aircraft-style window to the front, windows to the side and to the gallery above. The kitchen/breakfast room is open to the sitting room to create a wonderful family-friendly space. The kitchen, with windows to the rear and glazed roof over the far section, has a range of new, pale, timber-fronted units, with a double oven, dishwasher, hob and extractor fan, plus space to accommodate a large American-style fridge-freezer. The sun room, adjacent to the kitchen, has two sets of double doors out to the front and rear patios and enjoys views across the valley.
To the first floor is the large master bedroom with extensive built-in wardrobes, en-suite shower room and glass-fronted balcony. The second bedroom, a good-sized double, also has built-in wardrobes, an en-suite bathroom and balcony with glass screens to the front and rear. Also to this floor is a gallery over the sitting room; the gallery is an ideal study or music room, measuring over 14' long and more than 6' deep.
