Max Raptor provide the perfect Christmas holiday hangover cure with a January 2014 UK headline tour, hot on the heels of the release of their new album, November’s raucous Warped Tour set at Alexandra Palace and December’s triple headline jaunt with Attention Thieves and We Are Fiction. Formed in the ashes of alt-rockers My Passion, co-headliners for the January tour are Hertfordshire’s own Fort Hope.

The band have emerged as one of the most unique rock bands in the UK and have rapidly evolved into a vital, incendiary band who have been tearing up stages across the country, gaining the admiration of hoards of new fans with their socially aware and visceral sound that is unashamedly British and deals with the complex issues of 21st century society, in an age in which music seems quite content in burying it’s head in the sands of teenage heartbreak, booty shaking and off-the-rails Disney stars. Produced by Dan Weller (Young Guns, Enter Shikari, Gallows) at Lincolnshire’s Chapel Studios, the debut album Mother’s Ruin is a heroic modern British rock album that combines the grit of Queens Of The Stone Age, the athletics of modern punk and the angular shape of New Wave.

Having toured relentlessly with the likes of Billy Talent, The Stranglers, The Darkness and Dinosaur Pile Up and smashing festival performances from Donnington’s Download Festival to the famous Reading & Leeds Festival, Max Raptor are a live force to be reckoned with, and with the release of their debut full length Mother’s Ruin are on the cusp of the broad recognition they deserve.

British tastemaker Zane Lowe made comeback single ‘Breakers’ his ‘Next Hype’ record on his popular BBC Radio 1 show and the band have not looked back since. The new Lewis Cater (Kodaline, Don Broco, Enter Shikari) directed video for ‘England Breathes’ is being aired by Kerrang! and was No 2 on Scuzz TV’s Fresh Videos in the UK, week of release. Even today’s leading light of British alternative music Frank Turner has tweeted his admiration for the bands ‘great’ new video. Now their album is out there, Max Raptor, building a hungry horde of 21st century punk rock and roll loving new fans at every turn, are hitting the road and doing it the good old fashioned way.

Max Raptor's January UK Tour with Fort Hope comes to Bristol's Louisiana on January 25. Visit ents24.com for ticket details.
