The Seekers commence their 50th anniversary farewell UK tour at Cardiff's St David's Hall next Monday.

2014 marks 50 years since The Seekers first arrived in London aboard the SS Fairsky on a 10-week working holiday, and were immediately taken to the hearts of the British public. In December 1964, they released their first international single “I’ll Never Find Another You”, which sold two million copies and became the first of three Number One hits in a row in the UK, catapulting the four young Australians to global stardom.

Fifty years on, The Seekers are the only surviving Sixties ‘supergroup’ in its original line-up, anywhere in the world. Their enduring popularity will no doubt mean that their first UK tour in 14 years will be a sell out.

Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley are truly celebrating their Golden Jubilee, and together they will take their fans down memory lane with stories, memorabilia, messages of congratulations from music industry contemporaries, and video clips on the big screen.

As the centrepiece of their two-hour performances, the legendary group will raise the roof with their timeless chart-topping hits “I’ll Never Find Another You”, “A World Of Our Own”, “The Carnival Is Over”, “Someday One Day”, “Morningtown Ride” and the Oscar nominated “Georgy Girl”, as well as many other unforgettable and emotional crowd favourites.

For the first time in concert The Seekers will feature The Beatles’ evocative “In My Life” and perform the country-folk classic “Silver Threads And Golden Needles”, both of which they recently recorded for ‘The Golden Jubilee Album – 50 Tracks For 50 Years’.

The Seekers’ unforgettable melodies and timeless lyrics will soon once again be creating magic in the UK’s magnificent concert venues.
