THE Islwyn Acoustic Guitar Club welcomes electric bassist Steve Lawson back to the Cross Keys Hotel On Friday, February 19.

Lawson is a musician much in demand and has played headline shows across Europe and the US.

He has also performed at major theatre tours in the UK opening for Level 42.

One of Britain’s most high profile bassists, Lawson uses two Modulus six-strings, one fretted and one fretless guitar.

He also works as a music journalist and was a regular contributor to Bassist and Guitarist Magazine as well as writing for the Independent On Sunday.

Doors for his gig open at 7pm for an open mic at 7.30pm followed by the concert from 8.45pm. Tickets cost £6 (members/students £5) and will be available on the door but may be reserved by calling 01495 270078.
