THIS year sees a brand new album and a world tour for Hawaii’s own Jack Johnson which includes a date at the Cardiff International Arena in June.

The former professional surfer and his band have begun to record their sixth studio album.

The album (which is as of yet untitled) will be released worldwide on May 31 and will be preceded by a single earlier in the month.

Following the album release, Johnson will embark on his first world tour since 2008, which will kick off in Europe beginning on June 16.

The tour will be a mix of headline shows in London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam as well as festivals, including Glastonbury.

Johnson will be at the CIA on Tuesday, June 29.
