THE highly regarded Finzi Quartet head to Newport’s The Riverfront for a concert this April.

Formed at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Quartet was recently selected for the Tillett Trust’s Young Artists’ Platform 2009.

They are currently studying at the Instituto Internacional de Música de Cámara de Madrid and are laureates of this year’s 31st London International String Quartet and have given numerous recitals throughout the United Kingdom.

Their programme at The Riverfront will include Haydn’s Quartet Op.20 No.1, Mozart’s Quartet in B flat K.458 "Hunt" and Brahms’s Quartet in C minor Op.51 No.1.

The concert is on Friday, April 16 at 7.30pm.
