MUD Morganfield, eldest son of arguably the greatest blues legend of them all, Muddy Waters, is coming to Gwent to play a headline set at the Abertillery Blues Festival on Saturday, July 17.
Based in Chicago’s West Side, Morganfield has been touring across the world to great acclaim.
He has set out to keep both his father’s rich legacy alive and to create his own original blues music.
It has been an emotional journey for Morganfield who rarely saw his constantly touring father.
But by touring himself and singing his dad’s tunes he feels that he can show the world that his father left a son who was proud of him.
He will be backed by UK band Giles Robson & The Dirty Aces who have received great acclaim, not only from some of the world's great blues artists, but also from the UK's music press.
