TV addict readers have washed away Nevenka Nestorivic's claims about soap characters.
Nev, who works in advertising, had declared that telly soaps weren't realistic because characters never shared the same first name in shows.
In real-life, for instance, you always get two or three Steves in the same office, but this never seems to happen in shows such as Corrie because it would be too confusing.
But Nev reckoned without Brookside. Several readers wrote to point out that it features Jackie Corkhill and Jackie Dixon.
Lucy Hayward, from Gerrards Cross, sent me a letter pointing this out, and signed it "Yours smugly" after asking if she'd proved Nev wrong.
Richard Davies-Foster e-mailed me about the two Jackies, but added Brookside also has a Mick and a Mike.
Another, anonymous, reader e-mailed a response on the Star's internet site to tell us about the two Jackies. He/she added: "I watch too much TV."
