A WARM atmosphere awaits at the Carvery on Chepstow Road. Friendly staff are ready to take your order at the bar for dining in the bar, or there is waitress service in the restaurant.
We went straight for the carvery lunch, which offered a choice of three meats, with an optional vegetarian selection. There were massive Yorkshire puddings to accompany the dish, which were light and airy, and cooked to perfection. The selection of vegetables were good too, with carrots, peas, parsnips and cauliflower cheese.
Crisp roast potatoes were available as a contrast to the smooth mashed potato.
With various gravy and condiment choices, your meal can be dressed with a delectable flavour! A choice of dessert can be selected, with £1 off, when ordered with a carvery meal, but we were so full we couldn’t manage!
Overall, we had a lovely time. The food was good. What’s more, the carvery serves a cask ales, including Reverend James, perfect with a roast. We would definitely visit again!
Main meal carvery, and a drink, is approximately £7.50
