This Easter, Visit Winchester is encouraging families from across the UK to take a break in the beautiful city, and take part in its ‘cracking’ list of the five best Easter activities to be found.

Winchester’s convenient location means families don’t have to travel far for Easter fun.

The Easter Bunny Hop is returning to Winchester from March 25 to April 3. Families can follow the trail around the city for a chance to win great prizes and goody bags. Trail stops include Chococo, The Entertainer, Childhood’s Dream, Creative Crafts, The Old Fashioned Sweetie Shop and Winchester Discovery Centre. Free admission.

From March 25 to 28, families who visit Marwell Wildlife can take part in a Wild Egg Hunt, meeting the Easter Bunny in his burrow and handing in their completed trail to enjoy a free chocolate egg. Entry to Marwell Wildlife costs from £13.62 per adult, £11.50 per child and £49 per family (two adults and two children).

You could also visit the Watercress Line and meet Thomas the Tank Engine, experience a ride on a real steam engine, shake hands with The Fat Controller and take part in Thomas themed activities in the Imagination Station. Tickets cost £18 per adult, £12 per child (two – 16 years) and £54 per family (two adults and two children).

From March 25 and 28, Cadbury is teaming up with the National Trust for their popular Eggsplorer Easter Egg Trails. All eggsplorers can hunt for clues that are spread around the17th-century Winchester City Mill and receive a complimentary chocolaty treat.
