Britain’s best Bee Gees revue show The Magic of the Bee Gees is coming to town. . .

The international smash-hit concert show features all of the Bee Gees’ million-selling hits including Night Fever, How Deep is Your Love, Jive Talkin’ and Massachusetts plus chart-toppers written by the Gibb brothers including Islands in the Stream and Chain Reaction.

“No other British band has made as big an impact on pop music history,” says Martin Spooner, who plays Robin Gibb in the show.

“They shaped the sound of pop music in the Sixties, ‘invented’ disco with the soundtrack of the film Saturday Night Fever in the Seventies and wrote career-defining hits for many, many other artists.”

Number one hits Islands in the Stream, Chain Reaction and Woman in Love – recorded by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Diana Ross and Barbara Streisand respectively – are all performed in the Magic of the Bee Gees concert show, described as the UK’s most authentic Bee Gees revue.

“Not only were the Gibb brothers prolific recording artists,” says Martin, “notching up a reported 220 million sales worldwide, they were master songwriters. Their music spanned three decades and their songs define pop music from a period that the world looks back on so fondly today.”

Following the recent sad loss of Robin Gibb to the world, the cast of The Magic of the Bee Gees have devised an extra-special tribute in celebration of his incredible contribution to the world of music.

“Robin’s distinctive vibrato vocals will be remembered forever thanks to the scores of classic songs he took to the top of the charts,” says Martin.

The stars of The Magic of the Bee Gees claim that everyone has a favourite Bee Gees song.

“Youngsters in our audiences,” says Martin, “who dance and sing along to the Bee Gees’ classics performed, wouldn’t have been born when the Bee Gees originally released their hits.

“Yet they know every word of the majority of the songs.

“That,” concludes Martin, “underlines the genius and everlasting charm of Robin, Maurice and Barry Gibb – the greatest singer songwriters of our time.”

The show takes place on Saturday 15th November at Blackwood Miners Institute
