EBBW Vale’s second Brain Freeze Festival gets underway on November 25 and 26 and will welcome first night headliners American band Crobot, who will be taking a night off from a UK & European tour supporting Australian giants Airbourne to play the festival that is dedicated to emerging rock acts from around the world, and from Wales itself.

Crobot’s enigmatic frontman Brandon Yeagley hails from Pottsville, USA but also has Welsh connections. “I have a lot of family from Wales and quite a few still residing there. I would love to be able to spend some more time there to catch up with my lineage, but one night for a kick ass rock festival will definitely suffice for now. There are a lot of similarities with my humble beginnings in the coal region of Pennsylvania and my family tree’s roots in Wales. We live for the moment and take one day at a time, and that seems to be the mentality of the Welsh as well. I’m always excited to step back on Welsh soil. It feels like home every time and I’ll be waving that Welsh flag high.”

Joining Crobot for day one of Brain Freeze will be Welsh rockers Buffalo Summer and The Texas Flood, as well as Barnsley's Hands Off Gretel.

Playing the festival on November 26 will be ex-Heaven’s Basement vocalist Aaron Buchanan with his new band The Cult Classics, plus Hastings based rockers Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell, as well as a plethora of local talent topped off by headliner Henry’s Funeral Shoe.

Adding to the ‘festival’ atmosphere will be a total of 18 bands, a local ale selection, as well as a record fair. Visit the Brain Freeze Page on Facebook www.facebook.com/events/1666969413617174/ for full event and ticket details.
