Abergavenny Borough Theatre have unveiled a programme of entertainment for the spring.

Lovers of classical music can enjoy a recital by chamber ensemble The Barbican String Quartet, with an evening of Mozart, Haydn, and Mendelssohn, A Viennese Strauss Gala and Swansea City Opera’s production of Lakme set in the time of the British Raj in India.

Traditional folk group Fara will play music from Orkney while fans of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are also in for a treat as tribute band Lets Hang On will perform an evening of hits.

For comedy fans, there will be new shows from Seann Walsh and Wales' own Mike Doyle.

Original theatre includes EastEnders actor Daniel Llewelyn-Williams in the one-man play A Regular Little Houdini, based on the true story of when Houdini came to Newport and Rhodri Miles will play Richard Burton in the biographical drama, Burton.

Family shows include the musical The Tap-Dancing Mermaid and a presentation of the classic Jason And the Argonauts as well as presentations from local drama groups and societies.
