London Glam Punk Visits the Dolls House

Urgent, raw and defiant are just some of the descriptions London glam punk band The DeRellas have attracted. The band – Joey DeRella (lead vocal and rhythm guitar), Luca DeRella (lead guitar), Timmy DeRella (bass), and Billion Dollar Bish (drums) – have established a reputation as one of the most exhilarating acts on the punk rock circuit across the UK and Europe..

And now it’s the turn of South Wales to experience an evening of glam punk excitement when the band visit the Dolls House, Abertillery on 14 April. This is the first visit with their new line-up and the band will bring with them a host of rock and roll tunes packed with a ’77 sneer, weighty riffs and catchy choruses that guarantee a pop-punk party for the audience.

The DeRellas will also be showcasing their new single High Rise Supersize, which careers along with riotous and reckless abandon and includes a chorus cut for mass appeal. The B side features a live favourite Something To Say and a cheeky version of The Sweet’s Fox on The Run as the band members doff their caps to their 70’s glam heritage.

This latest single follows on from the success of lasts year’s album Freakshow, which a number of critics agreed placed The DeRellas as natural heirs to such classic bands as the Damned, Heartbreakers and the Ramones amongst others. Punk rock at its finest, and with a nod to that stomping glam beat, guarantees South Wales music fans will not be disappointed.

Entrance fee for the concert is £5, payable on the door. Full details of The DeRellas tour and releases can be found at Facebook.com/thederellas. Other Dolls House events can be found at Facebook.com/thedollshousewales.
