WHAT better way to entertain the children during the half-term holiday than a visit to the Abergavenny Pantomime Company's annual production.

The company has always given good value for money and this year was better than ever with such fabulous, colourful costumes and chorus work that you could imagine being at a professional show. The audience loved it, especially Buttons (Alex Williams)acting the fool and the Ugly Sisters (Ken Jones and Stephen Clark) and their hilarious antics. They have always worked well together and this year was no exception. From the opening number We Will Rock You to the finale You Can't Stop the Beat, there was non-stop fun and laughter and singing to raise the rafters. Shining stars were Zac Williams as Stanislav, who won an award for his part as Rumpelstiltskin last year, Suzanne Meates as the Fairy Godmother and the two smallest soldiers who had everyone in stitches.

Leading the cast were Molly Brickley-Clark as Prince Charming and Chelsea Viveash as Cinderella, a highlight being their duet, Love is an Open Dorr, and there were two other double acts - Peter Holder and Andrea Marfell as the Baron and Baroness and Ken Watkins, making a welcome return as the King with Matt Bryant as the Queen.

Tickets are available and the show runs every night this week with matinees on Friday and Saturday.
