IN THIS adaptation from the work of PG Wodehouse, Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense was packed full of quips and gags which the audience were completely drawn in by.

The show revolves around Wooster enthusiastically hiring a theatre to create a dramatised account of a meticulous story where he continually steps out of character and the action to narrate. He speaks to the audience like a close friend and comically gives desperate glances when problems occur.

With the help of Jeeves and Seppings, they create different scenes through portraying several characters, scenery and props.

The set design is clever where a great deal of comedy comes from the shifting around of set pieces.

Both these characters brilliantly managed the critical doubling trick of leaving the stage as one character and almost instantly returning as another.

In addition, Jeeves hilariously played the two characters of the uncle and ‘Stiffy’ simultaneously, wearing half a dress and half a suit.

A particularly amusing scene finds Wooster in a bathtub with a rubber duck completely lost in a little world of happiness which you could tell the audience enjoyed.

I won’t spoil any other details of the show but this adaptation is definitely a must see for people that enjoy the original stories and TV show.
