NEW Venture Players most recent musical, 9 to 5, is based on the hit 1980s movie with music and lyrics from Dolly Parton.

Focusing on the story of three female co-workers, they decide to seek revenge on their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss.

As the story unravels, you watch as the trio hilariously take control of the company and learn they have a new found freedom to do whatever they want!

All three actresses (Georgia Tasker-Davies, Megan Postle and Rebecca Evans) were a delight to watch, worked well together, and held strong vocals throughout.

Benedict Hurley as the crude Boss, Franklin J Hart, was a standout performer playing his character spot on. His interaction with his three female co-workers produced many laughs and his kidnapping was a particular funny scene.

Moira Mainwaring as Margaret, the office alcoholic and Clair Willavise as Roz Keith, love struck for Franklin, are characters that were also comical.

Despite some set transitions being slightly clumpy, the cast as a whole performed well and deserve credit for a tight performance.

The show ended with the cast performing 9 to 5 with the audience clapping along.

Funny and entertaining - the show continues until Saturday.
