IF YOU want a timeless classic that will get your feet tapping, your cheeks hurting and make you want to get up and dance, then Guys and Dolls is the show for you.

The chemistry between all the main characters was believable and the couples had the audience ‘awwing’ from curtain up. And with strong main man Sky (Richard Fleeshman) and the loveable Adelaide (Louise Dearman) the audience were hooked by the story from the get go.

The enthusiastic cast kept up their American accents throughout and provided natural humour in between the energetic dancing and singing numbers.

The vibrant costumes brought the characters to life and sent the audience back in time, drawing them into a different generation and way of life with the flawless choreography and the simple but effective sets.

The most enjoyable aspect for me was getting to know each character personally. From the talented Nathan Detroit (Maxwell Caulfield) to the opinionated Sarah Brown (Anna O’Byrne), the audience believed their emotions and stories and got to see each individual’s voice shine through during the performance.

So if you’re looking for an upbeat 50s throwback and great evening out, then get in quick before tickets sell out.
