The concept of Time Travel has always been exciting in books, film and TV – from HG Wells’ The Time Machine to BBC’s Dr Who.

Now Run Ragged Productions bring the story of The First Time Machine to the Borough Theatre on Tuesday 4 February at 6.30pm in an action-packed dance theatre production for all ages.

Run Ragged Productions is a dance theatre company based in Cardiff which creates accessible and vibrant dance theatre. The dancers in this new work are brothers – Jem and Aidan Treays - and The First Time Machine has been inspired by a story by their great great grandfather Enrique Gaspar.

The First Time Machine aims to take audiences on a sci-fi odyssey into the past “I wanted to use my experience as a dancer and choreographer to create a Time Machine on stage” explains Jem Treays “It’s a piece of work which is a journey into the past, a journey of discovery and adventure. I also wanted to bring an element of Victorian showmanship and humour to the stage that will hopefully entertain and amuse.”

So step right up, step right up! Welcome aboard the first ever Time Machine!

Join us for a voyage of a lifetime - a journey into the past featuring deeds of daring-do (and dangerous man-eating bears!) in a dance through time.

The First Time Machine will appear at Newport Riverfront on February 1, at 11.30am. Tickets are available from the box office on 01633 656679. or newport.gov.uk/theriverfront
