The Met Office have given an amber warning for snow and ice covering most of South and West Wales, valid until 11am tomorrow.
They say there is a chance of seeing a mix of sleet and snow today and tomorrow, and the maps are showing it slightly easing off later on Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday is expected to be the coldest night of the week in Gwent, with temperatures of -8C in parts of the valleys.
On Friday and at the weekend temperatures are expected to rise as westerly winds push the cool air away, by Friday temperatures of up to 6C are expected.

The A4042 is down to one lane in both directions between Abergavenny and Newport, with blizzard conditions. Around an inch of snow has fallen since around 4am.

Businesses are losing millions and wages are lost and the general economy tanks for weeks, and thats without the hospital and injury bills
Its worth the investment because its largely money you can never get back.
I lived in Ohio and we got 150 inches of snow most years I never lost a day of work because they were properly "tooled-up".
Better get started on this because its only going to get worse.
