WE ARE inviting all primary schoolchildren in Torfaen/Monmouthshire to enter a competition for the chance to win a cash prize and money for their school.
The Free Press has teamed up with electricity distribution company Western Power Distribution (WPD) to launch a search for a poster which best encourages families or businesses to save energy.
WPDis the electricity distribution network operator for the Midlands, South Wales and the South West, serving 7.7 million customers.
WPD’s role is to ensure the power network of poles and pylons, cables, wires and substations - the infrastructure we all rely upon to live our lives to the full - delivers electricity to our homes and businesses around the clock.
Saving energy is good in so many ways. It can cut household bills and keep costs down for businesses. But better than that it is also good for our planet.
So let us see your ideas about getting the saving energy message across.
The competition is open to all primary school children.
The winner will receive £50, the runner-up £25, and whoever comes third will receive £15, The winning pupil’s school will receive £200.
Posters should be sent to the following address before the closing date of April 17.

The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from the Free Press and Western Power Distribution.
